Where does Fungi Freak come from?

Hello, anime and freak universe fans! We’re two siblings who grew up with the TV on and our eyes sparkling with excitement every time Goku launched a Kamehameha or Sakura summoned a Clow card. From Dr. Slump to Star Wars or Harry Potter, we’ve lived a thousand adventures... and we wanted to create something to give back to this world a little of what it gave us!

That's how Fungi Freak was born, our very own clothing and accessories brand, inspired by our favorite series and movies. But we didn’t want to make just anything. We wanted our designs to be special, with a touch that only true fans could spot right away. And that’s how we came up with the idea of creating minimalist designs: pure lines and shapes. No unnecessary frills, but full of essence. Something that, if you get it, means you’re one of us!

The creative process was... well, total chaos! Imagine two geeks with too many ideas and not enough hands to draw them all. And while we were in that whirlwind of creativity, between sketches and cups of coffee, our little adventurous mushroom, our logo, appeared. Why a mushroom, you might ask? Well, it all goes back to those summers in our grandmother’s village house. We spent hours dreaming of fantastic worlds (Ghibli-style), and... yes, there were mushrooms. Lots of mushrooms! So, the mushroom became our companion in this adventure.

Today, we continue creating new designs, inspired by those characters who shaped our childhood (and probably yours, too). We hope that when you wear our clothes, you relive those adventures and magical moments with your favorite characters. Because at Fungi Freak, we do it for true fans like you! 😊
